The County Schools Office maintains the substitute teacher list for all of the districts in the county. To be on the substitute teacher list, you must have a valid California teaching credential or permit, pass fingerprint screening for this office, have proof of a clear TB test within the last four years, and complete basic employment paperwork. To request a substitute teacher packet, or for more information about the substitute teacher list, please contact Candy Bailey at the information above.

If you need to apply for a CA Substitute Teaching Permit, you will need a bachelor's degree and passing CBEST scores. For help applying for a subbing permit, please contact Candy Bailey.
