• Technology Class Instructors

     

    Barbara Broad
    During the past twenty years Barbara Broad  has developed and delivered hands-on computer training for nine major business systems at Stanford University, a quality control system at National Semiconductor, a tracking system at Price Waterhouse, and MS Office for the San Francisco Hetch Hetchy project and other administrative offices in Tuolumne County. These projects also included paper and online documentation for software users. She has also been a usability engineer, conducting analysis and testing to contribute to ease-of-use for end users of software. Since moving to Groveland in 1993, she has been teaching adult education and ROP Office Occupations classes for the BOF/Groveland U.S.D. and credit-bearing classes for Columbia College, and MS Office and Open Office classes for Tuolumne County Office of Education.  Barbara graduated from Occidental College with a major in music and received her M.B.A. in Information Systems in 1990. She belongs to several professional and local organizations.

     

    Jana Gale Connell
    Jana Gale Connell is a graduate from Columbia College with degrees in Art, English and Liberal Studies and certificates in PhotoShop, Web Design and Digital Web Design. She is currently working on her Bachelor's degree through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She has been an Photoshop user for over 9 years and has taught Photoshop and Dreamweaver to individuals all over the county for the last 5 years. Jana owns and runs Indigo Moon Arts, a Fine Art and Web Design business here in Tuolumne County. She runs the Computer Tutor (private tutoring service) on the side when she has time! She is currently teaching community education classes for Columbia College and works at the Instructions Technology Center at the College.
    Jana has lived in Tuolumne County for 32 years and raised two kids here while working as  Registered Veterinary Technician. She now does volunteer work in that field and is still licensed in two states.

     

    Karen Ethier
    Karen Ethier is a Business/Computer teacher from Sonora High School, now serving as the district's Technology Coordinator. She is a technology trainer with the California Technology Assistance Project, a Palm Education Training Coordinator, adjunct faculty member at Columbia College, and has been teaching with computers since 1985.

     

    Greg Haney
    Greg Haney is the Technology teachers at Jamestown School, and is fully credentialed in California. He has a wealth of experience using and maintaining technology, and develops the curricular use of technology for Jamestown School.
